How to use the AI Copilot

The Copilot has five tabs, all powered by one shared context. Set your context once, then use whichever tab fits the moment — practising answers, getting through a live interview, or preparing what to say.

Quick start

  1. 1Open Your context at the top and add the role you're interviewing for (and your resume/job if you have them).
  2. 2Go to Chat to rehearse answers, or Live Assist when you're actually in the interview.
  3. 3Before the interview, grab your Questions to Ask and generate your Introduce Yourself pitch.

Your context — set this first

shared by every tab

The panel at the top tailors every answer to you and the job you're targeting. It's optional, but the more you add, the sharper the answers. Everything is stored only on your device.

  • Role you're interviewing for — the single most useful field; answers get pitched at that role's level and focus.
  • Resume — paste it or attach a .pdf / .docx / .txt so answers reflect your real background.
  • Target job — paste a job-posting URL to load it, or paste the description, to tilt answers toward what that role values.
  • Prepared answers — your own best answers as Q: / A: pairs. Choose Adapt (uses yours as the basis and tailors the wording) or Verbatim (delivers yours almost word-for-word on a clear match).

The panel collapses automatically the moment a Live Assist session starts. Reopen it anytime by clicking its header.

Chat — rehearse and get answers

Paste a question and get a complete, well-structured answer. Two modes, kept as separate conversations:

  • Interview mode — answers the way a strong candidate would say them out loud: leads with the concrete answer, then key points.
  • Production mode — deep diagnostics, scripts, and step-by-step troubleshooting for real work.

You can attach or paste a screenshot and crop it, dictate with the mic, and turn on read-aloud. Every conversation is saved to History; use New chat to start fresh.

Live Assist — real-time help during the interview

the actual interview

It listens, detects questions, and streams answers on screen — the live transcript on the left, the AI answer on the right. Pick an audio source:

  • Microphone — transcribes the room mic. On remote calls, play the other side through your speakers so the mic can hear them.
  • Interviewer audio — share the meeting tab/screen so only the interviewer's voice is captured; your own voice is never picked up.

It waits for a natural pause before answering; hit Stop & answer to answer immediately. Use Screenshare to have it read and solve whatever's on a shared screen, set the Speaker's accent to improve recognition, and Hide (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+H) to cover the panel instantly.

Use a headset if you turn on read-aloud. This is a study and preparation tool — use it honestly and within the rules of your interview.

Questions to Ask — turn the tables

When the interviewer asks “Do you have any questions for us?”, have five sharp ones ready. Generate 5 questions tailored to your field and role, each with a short why: note. Add a line about the company to make them specific, then Copy or Favorite the set.

Introduce Yourself — your elevator pitch

A spoken self-introduction for “tell me about yourself”. Attach your resume in Your context for a pitch from your real background. No resume? It tailors a strong, truthful introduction to the job title you're interviewing for. Then Copy it or save it to Favorites.

History — everything you've done

Chat conversations and Live Assist sessions save automatically as Q&A pairs, so you can revisit and review them later. Open the History tab to browse past sessions.

Tips for the best results

  • Always set your role first — it's the biggest single lever on answer quality.
  • In a live remote interview, briefly repeat the question back (“So you're asking about…”) — good practice and it guarantees the mic catches it.
  • Feed your prepared answers so your best stories come out in your own voice.
  • For the most reliable mic and screen capture, use the desktop app.
