How to use the Work Assistant
A hands-on AI for any work problem — type or talk it through, show it your screen, attach documents, or let it listen to a meeting. Answers stream in with copy-ready code, and everything saves to your history.
Quick start
- 1Type your problem (or paste an error) into the composer and press Send.
- 2Give it context: Share screen + Capture, the paperclip to attach a file, or Add link for a page/YouTube.
- 3Prefer to talk? Click Voice and just speak — it answers out loud and keeps listening.
Chat, your way
Describe a problem or paste an error and get a streamed answer you can Copy or download (Word / PDF / Markdown / text / code). Press Enter to send, Shift+Enter for a new line.
Show it your screen & attach context
- Share screen → Capture to grab a screenshot for it to read; paste a snip straight from your OS snipping tool and crop it.
- Attach (paperclip) documents — PDF, Word, Excel, CSV/TSV, text/Markdown, or images.
- Add link to pull in a web page or a YouTube transcript.
Voice & meeting capture
Voice makes it hands-free — talk and it answers out loud; use Done to end a turn, Skip to stop it talking, or mute its voice. Meeting listens to a call you share and can Auto-answer questions automatically — capturing only the shared tab's audio, never your mic.
Voice and Meeting can't run at once — turning one on stops the other. Nothing is recorded; audio and screens are processed on demand.
Projects — shared instructions & files
Click New project to make a workspace, open Project settings to add instructions and reference files, then start chats inside it — the assistant carries that background into every chat. Chats are grouped in the left rail; deleting a project keeps its chats as loose chats.
Tips for the best results
- Screen share, Voice, and Meeting need Chrome or Edge on desktop.
- Up to 10 screenshots per message, read together as one task.
- Long content is trimmed for the model (documents ~12,000 chars each, links ~40,000) — split very large files.
- History saves text only — screenshots are stripped, so images aren't retained across sessions.
